Any school outing from Santa Rosa to the Bay is a real commitment, and it should be scheduled like one. Before requesting a SPAB bus, write out the whole day from report time to the last student pickup. Include lunch, gallery time and traffic on US-101. Sonoma County trips are simpler, though it still helps to name the adult who will be meeting the driver.

US-101 is close to the only north-south choice, and it slows through Petaluma and Novato on most weekdays. Our yard is in South San Francisco, about 70 minutes away with the Golden Gate Bridge in between, so a long Bay Area day may be too much for one driver and should be raised early. Capitol trips turn east by CA-12 or CA-37. Roads toward Safari West climb into back country, so we review the route and bus size.
| Destination | Plan for |
|---|---|
| Charles M. Schulz Museum | A short local trip, popular with reading classes and art groups. |
| Safari West | Rural hill roads; we check the route and bus size first. |
| California Academy of Sciences | A very long day south; allow extra for Marin traffic heading home. |
| California State Capitol in Sacramento | East on CA-12 or CA-37; share your tour time at booking. |
Under California Vehicle Code 546, a school pupil activity bus is a vehicle other than a schoolbus that a carrier runs under contract with a school, taking pupils in 12th grade or below to or from a public or private school activity.
Vehicle Code 12517 calls for a license endorsed for passenger transportation, and the driver's certificate comes from the DMV.
Ask us for any of these when you book. Our drivers are our own employees, and every bus has lap-and-shoulder belts.

It might be. Send your full itinerary, including waiting time, and we will check driver limits and suggest changes if the day runs long.
Yes, since both are on the way south. List the extra campuses with their student counts so we can include them when we calculate your departure time.
A Schulz Museum visit is about as simple as it gets. Ask the museum about its school-group times and tell us when you want to arrive and leave.
